The effective fight against corruption engages people and adopts the Ten Principles of Fighting Corruption promulgated by The American Anti-Corruption Institute (AACI). As shown below, these principles are the foundation to institutionalize combating fraud and corruption in all types of entities.
Developed and implemented by The AACI, the Certified Anti-Corruption Entity (CACE) credential uses these principles and their associated standards to quantify the entity’s exposure to corruption. But who sets the right tone to commit against corruption?
It is the responsibility of those charged with governance to set the proper tone at the top. The success of eradicating corruption depends on a strong leadership whose integrity is not impaired. Look at any country where corruption is a problem and ask yourself the following question: Based on what is said above, what are the problems? Then you shall determine adequate solutions.
