An authentic fight of corruption is one that always has, at least, the following components:
- Independent judiciary, and
- The rule of law, and
- Institutionalization of corruption prevention
Otherwise, it would be a fake fight! It may be a form of corruption. A government that does not have an independent judiciary shall not be able to fight corruption. Effective corruption prevention strategies form the basis for stimulating anti-fraud activities.
Governments, at both developed and developing countries, are expected to fight corruption to avoid the perils of the cancer of nations: corruption.
