Last month, the Economist, the British famous magazine; broadcasted on YouTube a documentary entitled “how to tackle corruption.” The documentary presented several corruption stories covering many countries. South Africa, Ukraine, and the UK were among what presented in the documentary.
The estimated annual direct cost of corruption is, at least, 5% and 15% of the GNP in developed and developing countries respectively.
It is evident that the effective fight against corruption must include government and citizens. The power of citizens is a central component in exposing corruption. Raising public awareness about anti-corruption and their role in its fight is an integral part of disrupting corruption.
