The American Anti-Corruption Institute (AACI) is pleased to announce the successful completion of its third consecutive Certified Anti-Corruption Fellow (CACF) review course and exam at the esteemed Fouad Chehab Command and Staff College in Beirut, Lebanon.
In collaboration with the Lebanon Certified Anti-Corruption Managers (LCACM) and Mrs. Gina Chammas, The AACI delivered its comprehensive CACF program directly to the college’s premises. This strategic partnership underscores our commitment to empowering future leaders with essential anti-corruption knowledge and skills.
Led by Professor Mike Masoud, Senior Director of The AACI in the Middle East and Africa, and Dr. Hassan Jouni, Brigadier-General (R), PhD, CACM, The AACI’s advisor in the MENA region, the third CACF review course provided participants with unparalleled insights and expertise in the field of anti-corruption.
Certified Anti-Corruption Fellow (CACF)
The CACF exam, an in-person, proctored, online test, was meticulously designed to assess candidates’ anti-corruption intelligence. The AACI defines the CACF exam as “the minimum, optimum knowledge a decision-maker should have to avoid fraud and corruption intelligently.” This encompasses a comprehensive understanding of the ten principles of fighting corruption, internal control, anti-corruption strategies, governance, decision-making, and the UNCAC framework. Emphasizing the importance of prevention and deterrence, The AACI underscores that corruption prevention is both cost-effective and superior to any remedial measures.
The review course was structured to elucidate essential concepts and facilitate the exam-taking process by equipping participants with practical tools and techniques. While not all review course attendees intend to take the exam, all benefited from the enriching learning experience and became integral contributors to the ongoing global movement to combat corruption and fraud.
The AACI extends its heartfelt congratulations to all participants for their dedication and commitment to ethical leadership and integrity. Together, we continue to advance our mission of fostering a corruption-free future for generations to come.
